How Diversified Maintenance Builds High-Performance Teams Through Training and Certifications

A facility services program is only as strong as the people delivering it. Service quality and consistency greatly depend on how well trained and capable the on-ground teams are, who understand their roles and take ownership of their work. For companies managing janitorial and maintenance programs across multiple sites and industries, structured training is not optional. It is the foundation of reliable service.

A comprehensive training program for new and current employees translates into a range of benefits for the customers, including fewer service disruptions, greater consistency across multiple locations, enhanced workplace safety, better regulatory compliance, and more.

At Diversified Maintenance, training is a continuous investment in employee development, operational excellence, and customer success. Through structured learning, industry-recognized certifications, and ongoing professional development, Diversified equips its teams with the skills needed to perform safely, efficiently, and consistently across a wide range of industries.

We invest in continuous learning through structured training that combines classroom education, hands-on experience, and leadership development.

Orientation Training

Every new employee starts here. Led by Diversified Maintenance managers and supervisors, orientation covers company policies, safety basics, and role expectations before anyone steps onto a client site.

Classroom Training

Employees also complete classroom sessions conducted by project managers, shift managers, or corporate officers, using online and web-based tools.

On-the-Job Training

New employees start On-the-Job Training after Orientation and upon commencement of their first job assignment. They are paired with veteran workers or supervisors to help them apply what they’ve learned in a real facility setting.

Job Rotation

Structured job rotation programs expose employees to tasks beyond their assigned role, building a more versatile workforce and creating room for growth.

LEAPS Development Program

For employees ready to advance, LEAPS (Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Passion for Success) is a multi-phase leadership program covering everything from operations and safety compliance to budgeting, technology, and recruiting. Candidates are identified by senior management and given the tools to grow into leadership roles within the company.

At Diversified Maintenance, training and professional development are fundamental to building high-performing teams. By combining comprehensive onboarding, continuous education, industry-recognized certifications, safety-focused instruction, and leadership development, Diversified creates a workforce prepared to meet the evolving needs of modern facilities.
